Open Positions: Special Needs Teacher Assistant (Immediate Need)
Prishtina High School is seeking a compassionate, patient, and motivated Special Needs Teacher Assistant to support students with diverse learning needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and staff to provide individualized support and help foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in supporting students with special needs
- Provide one-on-one or small group support as required
- Help implement Individualized Student Plan (ISPs)
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment
Qualifications
- Background in education, psychology, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience working with children with special needs is an advantage
- High level of proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
